“THIS IS GOING ON YOUR PERMANENT RECORD!” We've all heard that bone-shattering threat while growing up. Did you ever wonder if it is all real, and if so, what the heck is in your Permanent Record? What secrets – what transgression does it chronicle? You just have simple stories created from a life that you lived equally as simple. How horrible can they be? Nothing is THAT bad— is it?

Do you have a legacy? What is it? What do you leave behind and pass on? Life's simplest moments seem to have a way of making outcomes more nutsy and weird than they should be, you know, more ridiculous than expected. Something is always out of sight, something just out of reach. Things out of our control.

“I'm a victim of circumstance… Wait, wait. There's more to the story… No, Really!”

Yep, there's no doubt about it.

John E. Budzinski takes you on a journey, wondering all the while what is in his permanent record as Saint Peter escorts him to see “The Boss.” The two engage in conversations about his stories, simple moments that anyone doing any serious review and analysis of his life would pass right by. They offer no real significance. Yet, they are the simple transgressions chronicled in his Permanent Record that he wants to review and edit before showing it to The Boss.

What are they?

Spelling Bees. Blind Dates. Job Evaluations. Defacing Trees. Flower Shows. Dinner with strangers. Church Youth Groups. They are the simple stories that inundate his Permanent Record. But, there is always more to the story in each case, and poignant afterthoughts to the moments that need to be told and understood.

Excuses? Well, maybe, and as Saint Peter reminds him, “you have excuses for the excuses.”

Besides wondering what is in it, what “JB” wants most is editorial prerogative to cleanse his Permanent Record, just a bit, for clarification and to keep things in perspective. All of his stories remind readers that things need to be held in perspective. In thinking about his Permanent Record, Budzinski realizes that all his actions have a way of affecting others, even those he may not know personally.

All his stories build and add to his legacy, a legacy that Budzinski wonders about and what he will leave behind and pass on to those that come after him – those that will pick up where he leaves off. Yes, there really is more to the story.

He makes his case with light-hearted explanations and well-timed humor. Yes, you see a lot (though not all) of it coming, but you laugh anyway. Lines are well-timed and weirdly make sense. Budinski's narrative style keeps readers engaged, almost as if they are co-conspirators in his adventures.

John Budzinski writes in a charming conversational tone, sometimes over-telling things and other times not telling enough, and leaving you hanging to fill in the blanks yourself. He has you wondering about your Permanent Record and what part of it you may want to edit before seeing, The Boss.

Sarcastic? Yes. Cynical and jaded? To the hilt. Yet, he fills the pages with fair assessment and with blind faith in fairness, and with his undying humor and optimism about what comes next.

The subway ad is enticing. One might even consider it elegant as well. A beautiful woman, sitting atop a desk in a sparsely decorated office, staring directly at Bobby Fastow, a blue collar worker, on his way to his monotonous yet physically exhausting job. The photograph has an unusual charisma, a spectacular presence. It seemingly leaps off and out of the poster.
Bobby Fastow intensely absorbs the information directed at him. BurgerBlast, his favorite fast food restaurant, famous for quick service and reliable, if not artery-choking fare, is announcing a new name and a new direction.
But, in the world of advertising, nothing is as it seems. What if the line that separates an advertisement from the real world were erased? What if an image stepped from an ad and beckoned you to follow it back, inviting you to melt into its world. Could you resist? Bobby Fastow couldn't, and his decision would turn his world upside down.
Two strangers meet while seated together on a long distance air flight. The more seasoned of the two creates a game to pass the time. They choose seven passengers and proceed to guess their names, age, occupation, marital status, and personality. Later, they are informed of severe mechanical problems disabling the plane, leading to a crash into the sea. They survive along with only seven other passengers, incredibly, the seven people from their game. The subsequent prolonged and horrifying adventure in a raft presents many obstacles to their survival including sharks, severe weather, death, hunger, thirst, declining physical and mental health, paranoia, and pirates of the high seas. Their long awaited rescue from the ravages of the sea is just the beginning of their trip to Hell and back.

The Pentacle Virus drove Man to the brink of extinction.  Humanity is determined to complete the job.

The Pentacle Virus had the ability to infect almost every living warm-blooded animal. It spread across the planet in the early summer of 2016.  I am not sure how long the disease spread and wreaked havoc but communication lines went down by mid-summer, the world wide web would no longer connect around the same time.  The news networks and radio stations were off the air shortly thereafter with their final broadcasts being confirmation of the death of POTUS and the complete breakdown of the federal government. All social services, including the armed forces were shut down.

The world was thrown into the dark ages and the poor souls who contracted the new Pentacle strain had little to no hope of survival. The vast majority who caught it, died within a twelve to thirty-six-hour period; regardless of health, age, gender, or race.  Those that survived the thirty-six-hour period, in general, were stricken with continuous pneumonia type symptoms that eventually caused the individual's death.  Most within two weeks.

In the early days of Pentacle awareness, conspiracy theorist blamed the government, accusing them of building biological weapons. If they did, they forgot to develop the antidote first.

The Muslims blamed the infidels, the Vatican declared it was “Wrath of God”, and atheist supremist blamed all society for global warming.

Personally, I think the Good Lord and Mother Nature had had enough of the parasitic homo sapien ruining the planet.

It's now 2020 A.D. or 0004 A.P. (After Pentacle), depending on how you relate to things since the world flipped.  The existence that Dinky knew prior to the pandemic, died four years ago.  The microscopic warrior devastated ninety percent of the global human and animal population. The remaining individuals have no laws, no government, no social services or communication. Survival of the Fittest is the current standard.

Travelling on foot to a town 35 miles away, Dinky must expand his scavenging area to find the needed medication for his wife Sarah.

Will he survive the perils of the trip or will he be just another victim of, The Flip?

Set in 1978, Inside Out is a nightmarish story of a young actor who, after volunteering for a unique project to teach drama to inmates of the federal prison, months later finds himself locked in a cell as a convicted murderer. Where he now has already made friends and unforgiving enemies. It introduces the audience to a multitude of characters. Some good, some bad, and a few just evil.

Through flashbacks we follow Danny as he goes from a care free actor, who's only worry is knowing when his next audition will come, to a convicted murderer. His innocence fully revealed

There has never been a plot like this, ever. No book or film,as ever featured an innocent protagonist thrown into prison where he already knows some of the inmates. It is a fictional account of what happens to an “Everyman” that gets caught up in a system deliberately designed to treat all felons the same. It is a story of survival and the difference between justice as seen through the eyes of the law and true justice.

A woman begins having horrific nightmares that gradually last long and longer until entire days are almost consumed with reality and dreams merging together. After medical treatments are exhausted by she and her husband, reality emerges as a living nightmare until the ultimate truth is revealed.

About The Road to “L” Do you remember your driving instructor?:

The Road to ‘L' Do you remember your driving instructor? Well, they sure remember you.
My latest book is another biography but is a prequal to my other two books and my continued searched to find my own piece of El Dorado.
It is a humorous memoir. Set in Central London during the period 1981 to 1983 when I was a driving instructor in London working for The British School of Motoring. Pitched somewhere between the old English classic carry-on films and a series of sexy films called Confessions of… It is a humorous memoir of my time as a driving instructor; I reveal the stories of what can happen on a driving lesson, the offers of sexual favours and the actual driving routes I used all around the famous and historic landmarks of London. My books are all humorous memoirs hopefully in the style of Terry Pratchett They should appeal to anybody who likes anecdotal tales, I have tried to write in the style that would make you believe you are in a restaurant and I am with you just recounted episodes of my life or in a pub having a drink with friends, and I'm relating anecdotal stories about my life to you. The Road to ‘L' is an eye-opening poignant and often hilarious romp through my years as a professional driving instructor in Central London back in the early 1980s.
I'll tell you about people's behaviour, conversations and downright dangerous things that happened to me during their lessons and their time learning to drive in my tuition car.
Read about the amazing things that really happened to me which could have come straight out of a Bond movie, the inappropriate offers of sex I received, and you will meet the amazing sister Mary Clara and her meeting with one of the famous Beatles back in the day.
Travel throughout London and all the amazing sites this city offers and all on a driving lesson, or be part of being bombed twice in one day on two separate lessons, by the IRA.
Learn about the Falkland Islands war, from the perspective of both sides.
My book is a journey through the eyes of a professional driving instructor that will amaze you and also amuse you. It gives you a chronological history of the world events that affected London during this period, and of course about learning to drive a car and what can happen on a driving lesson.
But in reality, the book is about people and how they can reveal so much about themselves whilst in the company of their driving instructor. With some amazing stories, and some scary situations, but above all humour.
This book is a prequel to my first two books and a further look into the story of my life and my search for my own piece of El Dorado.
My first book published back in 2011 is called A Turnkey or Not? It is a biography of my 25-year service working in Her Majesty's Prisons and my second book El Dorado? No! Heathrow Airport is a follow on from the first book and continues my working career as a security officer working at one of the busiest airports in the world and people's behaviour when confronted with modern-day air travel.

Sucking the blood out of people was all fiction; those were dreadfully terrible times. But we have come many years from whence we came. Sadly, we have a president who did unimaginable things that would even make Alfred Hitchcock blush. Yes, it's all about him, the president that is, that's like a cancerous sore that never heals; it keeps him wanting more and more regardless of who he had to kill to get what he wants. Whether they're king or Queen or gay or straight, it didn't mean a hill of beans. He was in for the long haul, no one the wiser of his dastardly deeds. His thirst for blood was mind-bending. He didn't discriminate as to who the victims were; he took them as they came. Once you read the story, I hope you agree that this guy was one badass crazy idiot that the world had ever seen and may never see again, and you may know why I chose the title of the book coined “ZOMBIE.” Basically and succinctly, Zombie is like the new kid on the block that can stretch one's imagination toward the bizarre and can be a slight bit kinky at times. It can take one's vision on a helluva ride.

Lastly, yes, there is no biting on the neck or tooth marks. I hope you ENJOY and find the book a page-turner, especially on a thunderous stormy night with the rain pouring down in torrents and ominous lightning streaking across the pitch-black sky.

In across the board, ZOMBIE is about a demented chief executive officer extinguishing Kings and Queens and head of nations, anyone in between that gets in his way, and snatching women, detaining them, controlled by a modern type of horror in a shirt and tie, smooth-talking, willing as far as kill to have his way.
