Interview with Holly Bargo

Hi Holly Bargo, thank you for agreeing to this interview.
Oltobooks : Tell us a little about yourself and your background?
Holly Bargo : Holly Bargo began writing "wacked-out" fantasy as a child and it's fair to say that her storytelling has improved over the succeeding decades. She works full-time as a freelance writer and editor and lives on a hobby farm in southwest Ohio with a menagerie of four-legged beasties.
Oltobooks : What are your ambitions for your writing career?
Holly Bargo : I want what every author wants: bestselling status for every book.
Oltobooks : When did you decide to become a writer?
Holly Bargo : Writing is the one thing I do really well.
Oltobooks : Why do you write?
Holly Bargo : If I don't write, then my mind will explode.
Oltobooks : What made you decide to sit down and actually start something?
Holly Bargo : I can't remember a time, since learning how to write, when I didn't sit down and start something.
Oltobooks : Where do your ideas come from?
Holly Bargo : Everywhere. Sometimes from what-if questions, sometimes from dreams, sometimes from letting my mind wander.
Oltobooks : What is the hardest thing about writing?
Holly Bargo : Carrying an idea through to the story's end before I become distracted by another idea.
Oltobooks : What is the easiest thing about writing?
Holly Bargo : Writing (i.e., storytelling) is like breathing to me: it's natural.
Oltobooks : If this book is part of a series, tell us a little about it?
Holly Bargo : About half of my books are one-off stories; they are not part of a series. The first books of my series were never intended as such. Regardless, each book in each of my series can be read as a standalone novel.
Oltobooks : What are your thoughts on writing a book series?
Holly Bargo : I loathe, detest, despise, and abhor cliffhangers. 'Nuff said.
Oltobooks : What is your favourite positive saying?
Holly Bargo : This, too, shall pass.
Oltobooks : Where can you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
Holly Bargo : Trail riding on my own ponies rather than a friend's.
Oltobooks : What advice would you give to your younger self?
Holly Bargo : Don't listen to the naysayers.
